Hello everybody. First posts on anything are always so stressful to me, and I've been thinking about this one for awhile. Today, I decided that it was time to stop thinking about the post and start writing the post, really just to get it out of the way. So anyway, here I go.
Hi. My name is Sibella. And this is my movie/tv show review blog. I've been wanting to make this blog for a while now, and so here I am. Finally just going to do it.
I guess maybe I should mention a little but about who I am, in case someone ever ends up actually stumbling across this blog and gets a little curious about the girl behind the writing, behind all the opinions.
So again, hi. I'm Sibella. I live in Canada, and as you probably suspected, I love film/television. Not just as entertainment, but as an art form. I am going to start film school next fall, and I am beyond excited, but until I get to school, I want to use this blog to talk about everything I love (and hate) about the things I'm watching. I've been using blogger since 2014, when I started blogging about the books I was reading. The blog is still up and running, or rather, it will be soon, I accidentally took a year long hiatus. Thanks for supporting me and giving this blog its first few views too.
Anyway, if you're planning to return to this blog again, here are some things you should know about this blog in particular. Firstly, I am definitely not a professional movie/television reviewer. I'm just here to share my thoughts because I wanna have them go somewhere, instead of just staying in my head forever. The second thing is that I will review movies/television shows of all types and genres. I don't have a favourite. I am on a mission to watch everything in the entire universe, although it's probably going to take awhile :)
The second thing is that, because I'm going to review everything, there will be new stuff that people are currently obsessed with, and older stuff that everybody has already seen, that nobody really cares about anymore. For example, I've never seen a single episode of The Gilmore Girls, or Gossip Girl, or Grey's Anatomy. I've never watched a single installment of the Halloween franchise, or watched Magic Mike, but if and when I ever get around to watching these things, I'll be super excited about it, and I'll have lots of thoughts that I can now share with you, on this blog.
My first review will be up soon, I'm going to review the first season of Insatiable, the Netflix series. Most of the things I review will come from Netflix, so hey, if you have Netflix Canada, you have the same access to all the things that I'm watching, and we can watch together.
Anyway, I think I'm out of things to say. So, really, the point of this long-winded post was to say: Hey, welcome to Many Movies on the Couch. I hope you choose to stay a while.
